Honda recommend to start putting the belt from the bottom first , right crankshaft and left crankshaft , that's why you got in trouble trying to put the belt in.

Great vid; your accuracy is astounding! Just bought this myself for $219.99 in Tucson/July 2024. Really surprised in how they built this firearm being so sound, solid and with remarkable performance... Certainly wished they made more aftermarket parts for this as they do for the Hi-Point, which genuinely performs quite a bit less at best though if properly oiled not a bad plinker. This STR-9 though is 'near' Glock performance and literally chews up anything I shove down its throat! **IF anyone can share updated links to Stoeger STR-9 parts - thank you.**

I have seen many people say that the stretch-cavity that you are referring to as "permanent" is actually only a "temporary" stretch - and with pistol rounds' velocity, doesn't matter. They'll say that only the diameter behind the bullet width is "permanent". Having just posted a video of HST shot into pork shoulder, I can say your wound track very closely resembles what I saw in tissue. Sure, the meat has a tendency to sort of collapse back closed, but it's definitely ripped & what I'd call permanent. The stretch in the gel looks to have begun a bit sooner in your blocks, than what I saw in meat. It took about 3" before I saw the widening that you see in yours at about .5" Always appreciate you having these tests into the organic stuff.

You want impressive, test the Federal .380 Hydra Shok Deep. Deep penetration over 12 inches and good mushrooming. The ammo, with the exception of Hornady, you chose in your test was asking for failure.

I have one. Good luck finding ammo. Also hollow points won't penetrate much. I only keep it because I inherited it.

I have a sit p322 and it eats this stuff for breakfast,lunch and dinner.Only issue might be the normal occasional light primer strike.I really like this ammo.

Got one for my birthday last week. Super accurate and a joy to shoot. I currently change my EDC every month or so. Time to go for the Defender. Btw i have carried the PSA Dagger compacr and it shoots as good as my Glock 19.

I don’t agree with all your procedures simply because of the imprecise method you’re using. I have a Rifle Factory Certification in repair of M1 pattern rifle and this exposed me to the technical issues unique to this design. The receiver bridge when what is known as 1/2 Battery Bolt position. Gauging that position determines “end of service life” and proper firing pin retraction for the M1 pattern rifles. There is a fine interplay between striker/receiver bridge/bolt lug locking headspace position on these rifles. Some Investment Cast Receiver could be prone to more manufacturing challenges. That’s not to say this is the case in your Auto Ordinance. Problems like failure to fully lock and headspace related problems can occur with a Forged Receiver and are always a challenge. Eliminating the Firing Pin/Receiver Bridge timing issues consider this. The Operating Rod “pulls” the Bolt forward and the Lug/Bolt establishes Head Space as it rotates and locks in battery. I would look at simple remedies such as Greasing the Bolt Roller/Receiver Lugway to aid the rifle to fully lock in battery. Next I would deal with Hammer Inertia/Hammer Spring as a separate issue as Firing Pin Protrusion. Simply because you did not have the proper Factory Gauging/Specs and critical dimensionally checks. Remember, the M1 Carbine uses the same theory and design as the M14 in the Receiver. The same holds for M1/M14 systems. Always best to see what that rifle made it past final inspection. I am sure Auto Ordinance would make it right. No manufacture is immune from problems but you need to deal with Factory Service. Merely second guessing and attempting to hand fit your Bolt is a direction I would avoid. That repair correction is a job for Auto Ordinance Service and unfortunately you even conceded you may have compromised the rifles safety. I wouldn’t abandon sending the rifle to Auto Ordinance for correction.

So I got the exact same model and I don't have anything remotely close to the same problems you have. Are you sure you didn't buy one that was used or worse yet, ran over? The one thing I will agree with you on that the magazines are pretty not great. But did you inspect the gun before you bought it?

I would never shoot "Stingers" in a pistol. But that's just me. Great in a .22 bolt action rifle though.

I love the 22 mag, and I have never shot the 17 HMR, and the 22 LR just goes without saying. What I really wanted to comment on is your accuracy. In so many YT gun channels it is a great feat for them to get two shots close to each other, and you drill the same hole, shot after shot. Pretty darn good shooting.

I knew it wasn't your shooting making those big groups. That's a lot of movement. Too much IMO to be useful. It's a shame as the optic itself seems to be a nice value. There needs to be a minimum of 2 screws securing a plate and 3 -4 screws + a couple locating pins would be far better.

I absolutely love good budget options...I have both some of the top brands like Trijicon and Aimpoint and Holosun optics but I also have some budget optics and I can tell you first hand after using some of these optics for thousands of rounds these budget optics are "Just As Good"
